Varomed® Lymph shoes
Lymphedema causes severe swelling in the legs, sometimes causing them to grow to twice or three times their original size.
Compression therapy with bandages is an important component of treatment, along with skin care and lymph drainage.
Movement also supports effective treatment of lymphedema.
But what happens when the bandaged feet no longer fit inside any shoes? Together with the Földklinik, a specialist clinic for lymphology and orthopaedic shoe technology in Hinterzarten, we have developed special lymph shoes for this express purpose.
These models are designed to be extremely wide, but can nevertheless still be worn when swelling in the feet and ankles subsides.
We achieve this through a combination of stretch and micro velours, as well as elastic laces and Velcro straps.
It is especially important that the shoes be easy to put on and take off, so that they can perform their function.
When should you consider wearing Varomed® lymph shoes?
